December 9, 2006 | Goat, You'll be a Woman Soon
breeding flyrod
Margaret unloads Flyrod from the back of the "Goat Mobile" at Chateau Briant in Saco, Maine, where she will be bred to a rather large buck named Jennings
Today, we loaded Flyrod into the back of the "Goat Mobile" (finally earning it's nickname again), and drove 40 minutes south to Chateau Briant farm, owned and operated by Bob and Phil Cassette. It is here we will try to impregnate Flyrod and send us down the path to baby goats, goat milk, and eventually we hope, cheese. Six days later we will make the same trip with Chansonetta.
