November 8, 2007 | Goatstravaganza NYC!

It was standing room only in Aronson's Flooring Showroom for Goatstravaganza NYC. New Yorkers of all stripes turned out to celebrate goats, enjoy some goat cheese, goat meat, Goats do Roam wine, pet some pygora goats and hear Margaret read from The Year of the Goat: 40,000 Miles and the Quest for the Perfect Cheese.

From cabrito to cashmere, a celebration of all things goat...

Tekla, one of two pygora goats from Rainbow Spring Acres in Lysander, New York greets Goatstravaganza-goers.

Anne Saxelby of Saxelby Cheesemongers and Diane Stemple of 3D Cheese prepare a special selection of artisanal goat cheeses

Diana Casey from Focolare Bar and Bistro shows off platters of goat meat pate prepared by Chef Frank Lania

Rounds of Camellia from Redwood Hill Farm in California grace the cheese table. In addition to the Redwood Hill cheeses, Goatstravaganza featured cheeses from Long Island's own Catapano Dairy.

Goatstravaganza would not be complete without Goats do Roam wines from the vineyards of Charles Back.
